Eshu Bumpus

Eshu Bumpus Eshu Bumpus sang before he learned to speak. As well as an accomplished jazz vocalist, Eshu is a renowned storyteller and a master at physical characterization. He captivates his audience with African, African-American, and world folktales leavened with music, humor and mystery. He has performed on the Exchange Place stage at the National Festival (1998), and at the Smithsonian (1997). Eshu travels throughout the US performing in schools as well as conducting workshops in storytelling and creative writing. As a jazz vocalist, Eshu has performed with great musicians such as Archie Shepp, Vishnu Wood, and Billy Arnold.
