Mary Rachel Platt

Mary Rachel Platt A professional storyteller since 1990, Mary Rachel Platt has delighted thousands of adults and children in the US and abroad with her original interpretations of traditional tales. She performs and teaches in a wide variety of venues, including festivals, schools, theaters, museums, hospitals, and literacy training programs. During her annual visits to India, she has worked with children, teachers and social workers in urban schools and tribal villages. Mary is a member of Hudson River Playback Theater, a theater company that improvises audience members’ personal tales. Regardless of the venue, she finds delight in using stories to transcend differences and uplift the heart.
